Our first Production began with Next To Normal, which we performed at the California Center for the Arts Escondido. This show was very well received, and we were able to donate part of our proceeds to The International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF). We were also blessed to have a spokesperson from IBPF hold an open forum for community engagement and discussion following the show.

Our next production Little Shop of Horrors was produced at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center in Downtown San Diego. This show was partnered with two non-profit companies: The San Diego Food Bank and Angel’s Fosters (A Foster Care Network). Sapphire Theatre company was able to raise donations for both organizations through the generosity of our cast and patrons. Food donations were collected for SD Food Bank, and much needed infant clothing and supplies for Angel’s Fosters. For our upcoming production of Into The Woods, we will be holding an open forum, as well as donating a portion of proceeds to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We hope to always have this connection on future productions with other nonprofit organizations.
